1. I plan to raise teacher pay, strengthen early childhood education, and improve higher education. I'll also work to reduce over-testing to ensure our education system is equitable and effective.

2.Education funding and the quality of the Texas school system are perennial issues. Debates over education savings accounts, teacher salaries, and the  removal of STAAR test have been prominent in legislative sessions.
