ISSUES
EDUCATION:
I plan to raise teacher pay, strengthen early childhood education, and improve higher education. I'll also work to reduce over-testing to ensure our education system is equitable and effective.

AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE:
I believe that affordable healthcare is a fundamental right. I'll push for Medicaid expansion and stronger mental health services to ensure that no one has to choose between paying bills and seeing a doctor.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT:
My plan is to create an environment that fosters growth by supporting policies that benefit small businesses and entrepreneurs. I'll work to create good paying jobs and expand opportunities for every community.

BROADER TEXAS ISSUES AFFECTING DISTRICT 76:
Healthcare: Access to healthcare, particularly for seniors and low-income residents, is a significant issue. Many Texans, including those in District 76, suffer from preventable ailments due to a lack of continuous healthcare.
PROPERTY TAXES:
State lawmakers have prioritized cutting property taxes, a major concern for residents statewide. Some Texans believe that this tax relief for residential homeowners should be a priority for spending the state's budget surplus.
EDUCATION:
Education funding and the quality of the Texas school system are perennial issues. Debates over education savings accounts, teacher salaries, and the removal of STAAR test have been prominent in legislative sessions.
